# Sepsis Guidelines 2026 part 1

1. NEWS/MEWS/SIRS is now preffred over qSOFA

2. Blood cultures before antibiotics

3. give antibiotics asap

4. MAP \>=65 for age 60-65

5. antibiotics within 1 hours in definate sepsis and probable sepsis (strong suspicion of sepsis)

6. in posible sepsis assess within 3 hours and treat it

7. pre-Hospital antibiotics given if its more than 60 min

8. dont give empirical antifungal therapy

9. Dont use candida biomarker to guide initiation of empirical antifungal therapy

10. don’t use candida biomarkers to stop antifungal
